Why I Wouldn't Vote for Trump: A Critical Perspective on Project 2025 and Public Education

Introduction

Unless you are a felon or a sociopath, there is no reason to vote for Donald Trump. His divisive policies and uncaring approach to public welfare make him an unsuitable candidate for my vote.

In fact, I venture to suggest that most of the people voting for Donald Trump have not even read Project 2025. Are they really aware of the implications of the policies they support?

The Reality of Education Policy

Education policy in the United States is a complex and contentious issue. While both parties claim to prioritise education, the reality is that neither side can be trusted. For decades, the government has been exploiting the education system to benefit politically and financially.

As someone who works in a school district, I can attest to the quality of the meals served in schools. Are school meals nutritious? Unfortunately, many of the government-provided meals are less appetising than military rations (MREs). Schoolchildren often have better options, such as simple, homemade meals or purchasing higher quality food from local vendors.

Historical Context

Before the Trump era, the Republican Party had been consistently advocating for the removal of these vital education programs. It is hypocritical to claim support for Project 2025 when they have been working against such programs for years.

In summary, I would not vote for Trump because of his overall stance and the continued exploitation of public resources, like school meals. Project 2025 only reinforces my viewpoint that the Republican Party is not ready to prioritize the well-being and education of our children.
